Welcome to Alex's Autographs!

Thank you for visiting. This site is based on the great hobby of autograph collecting. I personally enjoy collecting autographed rookie cards of players current and retired. On this site, you will find my updates, some hints and tips, pictures of my autographs, awesome links and so much more. My goal for this site is to help those in the autograph collecting community.

-NEW! I took the guestbook down because it was getting spammed like crazy.

-I have a new poll up. According to last month's poll, 99% of you have never sent a jersey to be signed through the mail. Only one respondent said that he had.

-I have a new contest up. Congrats to Dennis from New Jersey on winning last month's contest.

-I have a new Autograph of the Month up. Strangely, last month 100% of you agreed with me that Jacob Tamme was the right choice for AOTM.

-It took a while, but I finally got my review of 2009 written up. Read it on the Rants/Articles page.

Autograph of the Month

Month: January

John Lackey

I received two really awesome successes in January, and they are both deserving of the Autograph of the Month honor: Lackey, and quarterback Mark Brunell. It was a tough to decide between one of the top pitchers in the game today and one of the best quarterbacks of the 1990s and early 2000s, but in the end I chose the former.

Lackey is a good pitcher. No, he is a great pitcher. He has over 100 career wins, and he has won as many as 19 games in a season--2007. That year, he was also an All-Star. He has led the league in ERA once, and in shutouts three times.

And now that he is with the Red Sox, I think he'll do even better. He has a solid cast around him, one that may even make him a 20-game winner. Even if he doesn't win 20 games, he is almost a guarantee to win 15 or so.

Because John Lackey is such a good pitcher, I name him the Autograph of the Month.
